Pretty in Pink
Hardwick in Vintage Rose and Scots Grey
Completed in July 2020, this project was driven and influenced by the customer’s stunning rural home in Harlestone, Northamptonshire.Planning and preparation is a hugely important part of delivering a successful project for our customers.
This kitchen was relatively complex, because it required the removal of a timber framed window and beautiful exterior Northamptonshire sandstone stonework in order to install some bespoke timber-framed French doors. The property is within a conservation area, and required pre-planning advice along with subsequent applications in advance of the commencement of work.

The project also involved re-routing sink plumbing and waste into the new kitchen island, the removal of the kitchen ceilings and a section of blockwork to maximise the space and the installation of new tiled flooring. The kitchen is by Masterclass Kitchens in Hardwick Vintage Rose and Scots Grey. The beautiful pink island is a gentle and timeless shade, but still bold enough to ensure that ‘wow’ factor.

Oak worksurfaces around the range cooker and white Topazio quartz on the island work wonderfully well together; the warmth of the oak softens the stronger lines of the quartz surface to help create balance in atmosphere. A modern style chimney was constructed over the range cooker and is intended to release space around the cooking zone but introduce additional interest with peek-a-boo shelving, and ensure practical extraction.
